Alison Elder persevered in the depressed real-estate market of 2009/2010 to sell our small, old-Tahoe cabin and adjoining lot. The cabin was built in the early 1900s and predated Placer County Building Department records and the TRPA. In fact, although the cabin had indoor plumbing, it was built before there was a sewer in Carnelian Bay. Its location was grandfathered into the TRPA requirements for it predated the TRPA, but we still had to have the site surveyed and a site assessment performed by Placer County so that buyers would know the IPES for the cabin lot and the adjacent lot. Alison helped us over these regulatory hurdles and successfully sold the cabin and the adjoining lot.
