Tahoe Sailing Charters
As their website says it best, ‘any gathering with a group is better on a boat!’ And the team at Tahoe Sailing Charters should know that best. They have been in the business for many years, sharing their expertise and exceptional boats with locals and visitors alike.
Their trips depart from Tahoe City from May through October and offer morning, afternoon, and evening options. Depending on the tour (be it private or public), you may cruise along the shorelines of Tahoe City, West Shore, Emerald Bay, South Lake Tahoe, and Sand Harbor, passing by the historic Thunderbird Lodge.
Is there a special event in your future? A wedding or anniversary perhaps? The team at Tahoe Sailing Charters will work behind the scenes to make it extra special. Options include the Tahoe Dreamer (12-person capacity) or the Tahoe Cruz (32-person capacity).

Lake Tahoe Sail
For those who love to sail, or prefer to have a pro at the helm, Lake Tahoe Sail is ready to get you out on the Lake. You can charter their 33′ “Aero” monohull and sail with your family and friends into the sunset. Or, sit back and soak in the splendor of the Sierra with the company’s skippers in control. The “Aero” is a keelboat with a very heavy lead fin (the Keel), making the boat more stable at a slower pace – ideal for beginners – and more comfortable for a cruise on the lake!
Lake Tahoe Sail offers a three-hour sailing experience for a group of up to six. Sail times are 2:00 – 5:00 pm or 5:30 – 8:30 pm.

Tahoe Adventure Company
Here’s the best of both worlds for being out on the cool water of Lake Tahoe all day long. The Tahoe Adventure Company offers a combination of kayaking in the morning and then sailing through the afternoon. The day starts with a cruise on your kayak with a guide who shares his insight about ecology, geology, and other interesting facts about history throughout the trip.
After you enjoy a delicious deli picnic on a beach, you will be off to Tahoe City to board the 50′ Tahoe Cruz sailboat (as noted above). During this cruise on the lake’s crystal-clear water, you can toast to the spectacular scenery while sipping on complimentary spirits.

Sunnyside Boat Rentals
Whether you prefer to set sail or set out on an adventure to seek the treasures of Tahoe, Sunnyside Boat Rentals has an impressive fleet for rent. The pontoon boats are our favorite for family outings. Those who seek something more adventurous often select the Axis Surf Boat, which is the best for wake surfing, wakeboarding, and waterskiing.
