Before we know it, our bright white snowcapped mountains will give way to magnificent scenes bursting with wildflowers and rushing creeks and rivers laying the foundation for summer to come.

As we experience the change of the seasons, springtime in Truckee-Tahoe also means time to get out of the house and explore the many benefits of living the mountain life!

Throughout the rest of the spring season, we encourage you to stroll through our art galleries and embrace our communities’ perpetual culture year-round. While you are out, stop in for Happy Hour at Tangerine Bistro, Truckee’s newest hot spot, offering culturally delicious French Cuisine!

Speaking of fine art, Elder Group Tahoe Real Estate has some exquisite architectural showcase luxury homes for sale right now. To see highlights, visit our Featured Listings page, then connect with Alison for personal tours.

“Art at the Airport”

Opening Reception & Reveal

April 25, 2024

Set some time aside to get to know some of the finest artists in the region by visiting the “Art at the Airports” exhibits throughout the year.  It’s all a part of a public art collaboration between Tahoe Truckee Airport District, Truckee Cultural District, Truckee Arts Alliance, Piper J Gallery and Nevada County Arts Council.

Mountain Arts Collective

This beautiful studio was started in 2017 by three local artists who wanted to create a welcoming space with a collection of art that captures the beauty of the Truckee-Tahoe area. We are sure you will find something special for Mom and friends near and far as well.

Piper J Gallery

With a vision to “inspire collectors while supporting and encouraging local and regional artists,” we are confident that you will enjoy some unplugged time while plugging into the talents of their featured artists.  Every month on the second Saturday, they unveil their newest collections.

Gallery 5830' Artists Collective

This is one of our newest and favorite spots to shop – named after its elevation in Truckee! Within its location in Historic Downtown, they offer a collection of hand-crafted jewelry and unique art and gifts created by contemporary and traditional artists.

Riverside Studios

With a vision that started as a working artists’ studio and evolved into a thriving business. They have succeeded in fulfilling their mission to cultivate artistic growth while handcrafting one-of-a-kind pottery, leather goods, jewelry and metal art as well.

The Carmel Gallery of Truckee

For over 30 years, owners Elizabeth and Olof Carmel have traveled the globe photographing and exploring some of the world’s most inspirational landscapes. Their gallery has earned the  respect of its peers and all who visit their establishment.

The Alpenglow Gallery

If you are looking for art or photography that has captured the essence of the Sierra, Alpenglow Gallery has a superior collection. Within their shop, they showcase some of the area’s finest photographers, including artists who have created high-end furniture, sculptures and more.

Gallery Keoki

Located in the Village at Palisades Tahoe, Gallery Keoki features the incredible photography of world-renowned fine art and extreme sports photographer Keoki Flagg. He is the proud recipient of numerous prestigious awards including the 2001 Banff International Photo Contest
