Winter Magic Hits Tahoe - Truckee! 

Gear up for Tahoe-Truckee's biggest winter carnival, where fireworks light up the sky and the slopes. For a full 10-day celebration at the 43rd Annual North Lake Tahoe SNOWFEST, all the streets come alive with events, parties and parades!

Grab your family and friends and explore the fun-filled festivities in our charming town of Truckee and throughout the beautiful North Lake Tahoe resort communities. Plus, it's a fantastic way to support local nonprofits, public programs, student organizations and scholarship endowments.

Gar Woods SNOWFEST Kick-Off

February 26th 5:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M.
The tradition continues with Gar Wood's SNOWFEST Kick-off Party setting the tone for the 43rd year of fun on and off the slopes.

Le Chamois SNOWFEST Back to the Valley Throwback Party -Benefiting Lake Tahoe Ski Club Foundation 

February 28th 2:00 P.M - 5:00 P.M
SNOWFEST returns to The Valley for the 75th anniversary of the Squaw Valley/Palisades Tahoe. Wear your finest Le Chamois throwback valley ski outfit and share your stories of yesteryear at the legendary Le Chamois and Loft Bar.

Tahoe City SNOWFEST NEW Street Fair

March 1st 11:00 A.M - 1:30 P.M
The Tahoe City Parade is now a Street Fair! Stroll the streets to view the best and brightest of North Lake Tahoe. Entries will line the streets in stationary spots along the old parade route from 11:00 A.M to 1:30 P.M.

North Tahoe Fire Assoc. PANKCAKE BREAKFAST - Tahoe City

March 1st 7:00 A.M - 11:00 A.M.
North Tahoe Firefighters Association Pancake Breakfast is an annual event for locals and visitors alike. It’s only $10 per adult $5 per child (kids under 12) and hosted right before the new Tahoe City Street Fair.

 

Gar Wood's Annual Polar Bear Swim

March 1st 12:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.
Join us for this year’s #polarbearswim on Saturday, March 1st at Gar Woods Grill & Pier on Lake Tahoe. If you’re brave enough, you can sign up here. (We’ll be watching from the deck!)

SNOWFEST Fireworks with the NOMADS 

March 1st 5:00 P.M - 8:00 P.M
Music kicks off this celebration at 5:30 with the only fireworks show on Lake Tahoe's North Shore starting around 7:00 P.M. at the Tahoe City Golf Course. 

THE GREAT SKI RACE - Hosted by the Tahoe XC Center 

March 2nd
One of the largest cross-country ski races west of the Mississippi, the Great Ski Race is the main fundraising event for the Tahoe Nordic Search & Rescue Team which has been hosting this event since 1977!

Tahoe City Dog Pull - Hosted by Alpine Power Equip - Benefiting Palisades Avalanche Dogs

March 2nd 11:00 A.M - 1:30 P.M
This is a must-see every year! Head on over to the Tahoe City Winter Sports Park to see the best of sport in the Sierra!

Tail Wagger Best Trick Competition 

March 2nd 1:30 P.M - 3:00 P.M
The Best Trick competition will immediately follow the Dog Pull contest!

Sunnyside Luau-Proceeds to Benefit Sierra Community House 

March 2nd 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
Wear your best Hawaiian shirt and bring your Aloha spirit! Savor their special menu featuring lupus, island favorites, and tropical drinks. Don't miss the lei making event on-site!

 

Wine N Ice Sculpture Competition-Alibi Ale Works 

March 7th 1:00 P.M - 7:00 P.M.
Truckee River Winery is hosting a fundraising event with Truckee River Watershed Council. On-Site Ice carvers will be given five hours to sculpt their blocks of ice at Alibi Ale Works in Truckee.

Milk Jug Curling FINALS - Hosted by and Benefiting Lake Tahoe Ski Club Foundation and Tahoe City PUD 

March 7th 7:00 P.M. - 11:00 P.M.
Watch Curling on the Tahoe City ice rink where the final teams of four compete to see who can slide their milk jugs across the ice to a target to gain points, score and support the Lake Tahoe Ski Club Foundation.  

Kings Beach SNOWFEST Parade 

March 8th 11:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M.
This fun-filled event brings over 1,700 spectators and features entries from over 30 local community organizations and businesses.
