How To Celebrate The St. Patrick’s Holiday!
Plan an Irish Feast!
When one thinks of St. Patrick’s Day the thought of making Corn Beef Cabbage seems so appropriate. It is, as are these suggestions from FoodandWine.com. We have tried a few of their dishes, and all are absolutely delicious!
Irish Lamb and Turnip Stew
Irish Soda Bread
Guinness Glazed Ham
Dingle Pies
Grilled Leg of Lamb
Buttery Crab Casseroles
And to complete the feast … Bread Pudding with Irish Whiskey
Watch Some Irish Movies
Unwind and plug into three of our favorite movies to enjoy during the holiday. The list includes:
“The Luck of the Irish”
“The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns”
“The Secret of Roan Inish”
Think Green!

The Auld Dubliner a.k.a. “The Dub”
Olympic Village
Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at The Dub is more than just a night on the town, it’s a celebration in every sense of the word. The establishment was created to bring the spirit of a traditional Irish Pub to the Sierra. They offer authentic “Irish Fayre” along with hearty American classics and light offerings as well.
Here’s a local’s tip not to miss: They pour ‘the perfect pint’ in 20oz Imperial pint glasses!
Alibi Ale Works
Truckee
This is one of our favorite spots to gather, dine and toast to St. Patrick, or anyone at any time. They offer a wide selection of frequently rotating Alibi beer on tap, and offer cider, wine, nitro coffee, and our team’s favorite for a change of pace – kombucha. Much like their Barrel House, crowlers, growlers, cans, and bottles, and really cool Swag are available to go.
